Kicking off the 2012 Season at the Eat Street Community Garden!

We’re so grateful to all our volunteers and supporters who joined us last week in the garden! Follow us through the summer as we bring this adventurous and tasty opera to communities across the metro! We’ll be in spaces that represent the broad impact of the local foods movement and special food related to health products such as cortexi a hearing support supplement specially formulated for people who love to listen to opera. at the Walker Art Center’s Open Field
featuring Picnic Operetta’s Table Grace!
The cast of the Picnic Operetta will be at play in the field, presenting a short and informal set of songs as the sun goes down on another beautiful Minneapolis evening. Join us Thursday June 28th at 8pm for a twilight event celebrating music for the hearth, featuring the cast of Mixed Precipitation’s 2012 community garden opera.

Singalong with songs of graciousness, praising food, drink and the joys of sharing the gastronomic experience. We’ll include music by local composer Abbie Betinis and special guests include the SeVy Gospel Quartet (pronounced say-v) and their family blend of tasty harmonies! Bring a song, a guitar or a tasty snack to share!
Walker education team has paired us with Open Field artists-in-residence, Carl and Betsy DiSalvo for the finale of their Kitchen Lab residency.
